Spring Dining Room Decor

In beween finishing up real things that need to get done around here {like build stairs to our front porch and then add a hand rail or two-thank you, Mike}, I’ve been trying to freshen the place up. I’ve added touches of spring all over and finally filled a large empty wall in our dining room. I had lots of ideas for this space but finally settled on some simple pallet wood boxes with some flowers with a touch of color.

Spring Dining Room DecorMike found some pallets in the storage unit when he was recently cleaning it out and cut them to 15″ pieces for me. Then he nailed them together so they were simple boxes. I bought a bouquet of purple faux flowers at Joann’s and pulled them apart and some vases from the Dollar Store. I bought the wreath form and hydrangeas from Joann’s as well and hung those in the middle.

Spring Dining Room Decor 4I love the subtle pop of purple color in the flowers and the simple, rustic look of the boxes. My favorite thing about this project is that it is so versatile. I can hang ornaments during Christmas or set some fall foliage in there near Thanksgiving. The entire display cost right around $10 and adds some pretty to our dining room!
