Spring Cleaning: Make-up Style

I don’t know what the weather has been like where you live, but around here spring is peeking its beautiful face out and I’m loving it. We’ve been able to go on walks and plan and prep for some big outdoor projects we are getting ready to tackle. We start thinking about outdoors and spring cleaning when this weather arrives and part of spring cleaning usually includes closets, and pulling out buckets and mops. One routine I’ve tried to get into as well is getting rid of old make-up. I don’t do it as often as I should but every time I do it feels great to start over. I was recently sent some products with look guides from Mary Kay® and it was so much fun to try them out. Mary Kay® is the Official Beauty Sponsor of the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in April so I was able to try out three country-chic looks: Girl Next Door, Boho Beauty, or Queen of Country. The look that I would naturally wear is the Girl Next Door {I typically keep my make-up routine simple and soft} but I really enjoyed the other two as well. Let’s start with my favorite look: All-American Girl {Girl Next Door}. Soft and subtle. You can find the tutorial as well as all the products I used here. All American Girl make-up   All American Girl Make-up 2 I tried out the Queen of Country look on our date night over the weekend. The eyes were darker than my normal look, but I loved them for a night out with my hubby. The tutorial shows you how to make the perfect smoky eye. I really liked how they kept the look soft with rosy lips and cheeks. Find the tutorial as well as the list of products I used here. Queen of country make-up 2   Queen of country make-upThe Boho Beauty look is a great everyday style. It’s got some shimmer and bronze to it but can be very versatile and pretty. The lip was the main focus of this look and I can see it paired with a lot of different looks. You can find the tutorial and product list I used here. Boho chic make-up   Boho Chic Make-up 2 What’s your perfect make-up look? If you were going to try any of these for a new look this spring, which would you choose? The good news? You can try these yourself! You can enter for a chance to win a Mary Kay® gift basket full of pretty goodies!
