Meaningful Artwork: Framed Dates

Thank you for all the sweet comments on our master bedroom reveal! We really love it and are glad you all do too:) I promised lots of DIY tutorials and I thought I would start with a very simple, but very meaningful tutorial-the framed dates artwork.

meaningful artwork framed datesOur gallery wall is filled with lots of memories. Wedding pictures, pictures of our baby¬†girl, a canvas of us in front of our new house, and lots of of these sweet little frames with important dates on it. We’ve had these wood¬†frames from Michael’s for awhile stored in a drawer. It was one of those things that was super on sale and so you had to buy some for some project that would eventually come down the line and here we are. I started by painting them with some navy craft paint.

extra curtain fabricI cut the fabric to match the opening in the frames and hot glued it on the back of the frame.

gluing fabric to number frameOnce the frames were glued with the fabric, I created my numbers in the Silhouette Design Studio.

master bedroom gallery wall and bathI love how they add some pattern and color from afar but when you are up close you can see the dates and be reminded of all the really big days that brought us here {first date, wedding, the day Mike proposed, and our first baby}.

How do you add meaning to your spaces?
