Styling a Sideboard

You may remember back when we were still getting this house together, we brought in our first piece of furniture-this Sauder sideboard. We didn’t even have floors but it served a great purpose of a place to hold drinks, snacks, etc. while we worked.

It’s a great catch-all multipurpose piece. We’ve used it to serve dessert at a party, a drop spot for mail, a hiding spot for junk, and just a pretty place to show off our framed house plans. I’m sure as we continue to host parties and just live here, it will have many other uses down the road too. It’s beautiful just adding some pretty chotchkes on it.

You can see below how the black ties into the other touches throughout the house.

But it’s also great to serve drinks at a party. You can leave the pretties on there and just add in what you are actually going to use, such as wine bottles underneath and glasses on top.

We love using this piece on a daily basis. We’ve never had a sideboard or serving table but I love it. Check out more styling ideas on my Pinterest Stylin’ page.

How would you style this piece?
