House Tour-Molly’s Room

I adore how this room is coming together. It’s sweet and girly and fun and perfect for our Molly girl. She loves it. As I was putting up the polka dots she walked in, got a huge smile on her face, pointed to the polka dot wall, and said “pwetty!” So cute! She knows a fun room when she sees it:)  A lot of this room is DIY’d {of course} including her blackout curtains, polka dot wall, words on the walls, play area in her closet, and bookshelves but there are still a few more touches to finish up. We need to finish the trim around her closet since there won’t be any closet doors as this is used more as a play space than storage. I don’t hang her clothes-they are all mostly play clothes so I thought the space would be better utilized for fun! We also need to hang the door art from her nursery above her dresser but that’s about it, at least for now:) I’ll have some tutorials coming up soon! Today is all about the cuteness:)

I installed a shelf in her closet for her stuffed animals. Underneath, I painted it with chalkboard paint, installed a metal sheet for a magnet board, and glued up some felt for a fun felt board. I have lots of cute felt projects in mind for that board {dress up dolls, shapes, little picture scenes, etc.). She loves it in there. Lots to do! We have baseboard to put in the closet as well-PS:)

Comments

  1. I adore her dance moves – I’m borrowing this idea for Lottie’s room one day!

  2. My kids have huge closets in their room – I’m totally doing that on one side of Kambria’s closet! My older two have stickers all over their closet walls, so it’s just smart to give them creative space in the closet. I request that tutorial!!
