Weekly House Update-Week 16

We have drywall!!!!!!!!! The house looks and feels totally different when you walk in. It makes it very real and exciting:) I’m a little delayed on the weekly update as I went back to work this week and it was crazy busy. It actually worked out great because drywall didn’t get finished until Saturday so there is more to share! The crew will tape and mud this week and we are still on target to paint on Saturday. I’ll take you through  a tour of the house to see all the rooms with drywall. Let’s start in the garage. The ceilings are about 11 1/2′ so it feels extra huge in here.

You walk into the house through the mudroom/laundry room and the first thing you see is the entry to the half bath.

half bath drywallTo the left of the half bath is the washer, dryer, cabinets, a sink, and what will be a craft table. If you continue around the room, to the right of the door from the garage will be a bench seat with cubbies.

master doors drywallOn the same wall as our bed is the door to the bathroom. When you walk in you will look directly into the shower. From the half wall up, will be glass. The entire wall you are looking at will be a beautiful white tile so we will cement board that as well. The bath will be on the same shower floor, to the left of the shower wall so you will walk past the claw foot tub to get into the shower.

Opposite the shower, is my vanity and the toilet area, separated by a wall.

And that’s the tour! We pulled out our new paint sprayer this weekend and painted our interior doors so I’ll have a full post on that later in the week. We think painting the house will be a breeze after using it:)

Can’t wait to share more!
