Simple Striped DIY Patriotic Sign

This post brought to you by FrogTape. All opinions are 100% mine.

I'm not one to usually decorate for the 4th of July {unless we're having a party}, but when I was recently sent some Shape Tape™ from Frog Tape®, I had the perfect idea for some cute and easy patriotic decor.

udated patriotic set-up

This would be the perfect set-up for a cute snack bar or firework area if you are hosting a part this year. Or just a simple reminder of why we celebrate the 4th. The whole project took about 40 minute and was very inexpensive. Here is what I started with:

Frog Tape Shape TapeI used a scrap piece of plywood that we had on hand that was the perfect size and painted it with some chalk paint I had on hand.

painting over shape tapeFrog Tape® uses PaintBlock® technology to keep lines crisp and even. I have had great success with this product in the past and think it works great to keep lines perfect. While the paint was still wet, I peeled off the Shape Tape™. I had a few areas that bled slightly but I believe it was due to me painting outside. It was crazy humid when I did the project so the tape didn't perfectly stick in all areas, but it still turned out really cute. I wanted to add a something dimensional to the project so I grabbed a small block of wood and drew a heart on it.
