DIY Log IPad Holder

I hope you all had a great weekend. Saturday was gorgeous so we got outside and walked around our property a little bit. Part of the reason for going out there was a project idea I had. A few weeks ago I was perusing some of my favorite shelter mags and came across this picture:
I snapped a picture of it on my phone and showed it to Mike. I knew we could find a great piece of wood at our property. I took a little different approach from the picture above and made an iPad stand with it. I wanted something unique to hold my iPad in the kitchen while cooking so I can follow recipes on it. It will look so cool in our new kitchen:)
The log we chose had some cool knots in it so it helps the log stay securely in place. If your log is more round, you may want to either cut the bottom of the log so you have a flat surface, or add some little “legs” to the bottom to make it stay in place.
What do you think? What great ideas do you have to hold your iPad?
