Football season is in full swing {Mike’s favorite time of year} and I have a great snack to share today to enjoy during those looooooong game days:)  I’ll admit that I didn’t used to like football or even understand it for that matter, but when I met Mike I had no choice. Actually I’ve come to enjoy football these days, especially if there is some food involved:) Here in Colts country, we had the hugely anticipated game last weekend with the return of Peyton and I’m sure people all over the state settled in with some munchies to watch the big showdown. This recipe would be easy and perfect!

game day ingredientsI used all ingredients that you can buy at Dollar General so this recipe is cheap, quick, and yummy. You need 1/2 c. of peanuts, about 8 cups of popped popcorn, and 8 oz. of Reese’s® miniatures. Start by popping the popcorn and unwrapping the Reese’s®. Then cut the candy in half.

cut reesesAfter the popcorn is popped and ready, spread it out on a baking sheet and mix in the peanuts.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 45 seconds. Stir it up and put back in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until it is smooth.

Finally, drizzled the melted Reese’s® over the popcorn/peanut mixture.
