Saying Good-Bye to Our House-Day 4

Our dining room isn’t one of the most used spaces in our house, but it is one of my favorites. It has an rustic, yet elegant look to it that fit perfectly with the feel of our house.

One of my favorite projects in that room was the barn style wainscoting. It was a fun twist on a traditional design.

One of my other favorite things in this room was the barn door wall art. Mike found that door for free and we used some shims and glass from Dollar Tree picture frames as ledges for some white pottery. That is one thing that we could have brought to the new house with us, but the buyers asked to purchase the door from us {along with some other decor} in our house so we sold it to them.

A couple of piecesfrom the dining room that will come with us are the oversized silverware art pieces and our dining buffet. That buffet holds a special place in my heart because it was the start of our house projects. It was the first item we refinished and we still love it today.
