How to Install a New Faucet {Moen Kiran Faucet Installation}

This post brought to you by Moen, Incorporated. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was recently sent a new Moen Kiran faucet for our kitchen.  If you’ve been around here for awhile, you may remember our big kitchen renovation almost two years ago.  At that time, we made our concrete counterspainted our kitchen cabinets whiteDIY’d a subway tile backsplash, and installed a new sink and faucet {along with a few other small projects}.  We bought a faucet online that had a fun, industrial look.  We have liked the faucet, but did get frustrated some with the shiny finish.  It showed all sorts of water spots and fingerprints so when Moen offered to send us their Kiran Spot Resist one-handle pulldown kitchen faucet, we immediately said yes {you can buy one for yourself at Lowe’s by the way!}.

It has a gorgeous nickel finish that is spot resistant and looks great.  We installed it about 3 weeks ago and love how clean it is all the time:)  The best part was how easy it was to install.  Mike said it was much easier than the last faucet we had.  He started by removing the old faucet.  You can see how dirty it looked with all the fingerprints and water spots.

Mike got under the sink and put a bowl in case any water dripped as he removed the old faucet.

Our sink has 4 holes, but the new faucet easily covered them so we didn’t have to put any of those plastic hole covers back on.

Then he was ready to install the new Moen faucet.  We laid out all the parts and directions on the island to start.

The main part of the faucet came already assembled.

So we very easily slid that into place.

Then we attached the spout of the faucet by sliding the hose through the faucet and screwing in the front.  Once all of that was secure, it was time to put in the soap dispenser.  We didn’t have one of these with our old faucet so this was a real treat for us.  We decided to fill the soap bottle with our dish soap to make it easy to just squirt and wash dishes.  You can also use it to wash your hands so it’s kind of a two for one.

Then we screwed on the silver piece..

And the top piece and it was ready to be used!

We love the whole look of the new faucet.  The pull-down feature is awesome and works really well.  We would definitely qualify this as an upgrade!  If you want to see more Moen faucets and keep up-to-date with their latest products, be sure to become a Facebook fan!
