Nursery Storage Buckets

I realized as I wrote this post that I never shared our goods from our mini babymoon to Cincinnati a few weeks back so I’ll get on that this week. One of the items we picked up was actually from the kitchen area, but we revamped them to fit in the nursery as extra storage. We bought a couple of bars from the kitchen section that you can hang drying racks on and bought some cute little buckets from the same area. The buckets come with carriers on them that you can attach to hooks to hang from the bars, but we realized when we got home that we didn’t have enough hooks to carry the 6 buckets we bought. Long story short, they had to be changed to actually hang from the bars so I bought some cute gray jute ribbon from Hobby Lobby to use to decorate the buckets and to hang them from. I started by cutting the ribbon to fit around the edge of the buckets. I also cut them width wise to use to hang the buckets.
Then I hot glued the wide ribbon around the center of the buckets.
Then I strung the ribbon that was cut in half through the hooks and glued them to the bucket as well.
Then I hung the hooks on the bars that Mike screwed into the walls. They are the perfect size for all of her sweet, little accessories.
We have a cute little name display planned for the area above the buckets to finish off that area. It’s all coming together!
These are the fabulous blog parties I link up to each week:
