Baby Girl’s Nursery Design! {Mood Board}

I’m putting Christmas decor aside for a day as we get ready to start tackling the nursery.  I’m going for calm, serene, neutral, with a touch of femininity.  The color scheme is creams, whites, grays, with some pops of light peach.  I have our to-do list written out and we are planning on starting work on it this weekend.  We picked up the crib last night so we are ready for action!  I created a simple mood board to explain the vision of baby girl’s room.

  1. We are creating a really cool, personalized art work for baby girl using this door {the other half of the glass paned French door}
  2. We need to still purchase the rocker/glider, but this is my dream chair:)
  3. White wainscoting for the bottom half of the walls
  4. Some cute babylicious art work
  5. We bought the Baby Cache Montana Panel Crib in the antiqued glazed white finish {the picture is of a different color}
  6. The walls will be Smooth Stone by Glidden
  7. Light peach accent color will be something like this Serene Peach by Behr
  8. Mike is going to build some DIY shelving to store all of baby girl’s books

I’m sure there will be some additions/tweaks as we go along, but that’s the basic outline as of now.  Can’t wait to get started!

    I have the PBKids wingback rocker in my nursery. It’s a very comfortable chair, but I wish that I would have selected a darker upholstery. The fabric I selected is the Parchment Twill. No matter how careful we are, we still end up with stains from dribbled milk every now and then. I’ve had trouble blotting the spots out, so I will probably have the chair cleaned soon and reupholstered at some point.

  2. It looks like it will be very beautiful. I am jealous because when we moved to this new house I was 6 months prego and we never got around to really decorating baby girls room except for some pink curtains.
