I Want to Quilt

How old does that make me sound? Maybe it’s the preggo gene kicking in but I want to attempt to make a quilt. After scouring Pinterest for some inspiration, I have decided what I’m going to make. If you follow my Sewing board, you may have already seen some of these, but here are some beautiful quilts made by DIYers.
After seeing all of these pretty designs, I realized I may want to start with something a little simpler and work my way up:) I found this awesome tutorial from Katie Did and am going to attempt her “go-to quilt.“
I bought my fabric and supplies over the weekend and may attempt to get started this week sometime. I am using a pretty gray and cream polka dot pattern for one side and a solid black for the other.
I am going to bring in a pop of color for the binding edges {either a light blue, green, or yellow maybe}, but haven’t decided on that for sure yet.
So, anyone out there ever made a quilt before? Anyone think I sound like a 90 year old woman?

The 90 year old comment made me laugh… Sometimes–I think the same of my self… I have bought a total of 3 quilt tops from various places, church sale, thrift store… So, that is my first attempt–just to put a backing on. Then hopefully, I can move on to actually making the quilt itself… Good luck and can’t wait to see it….
