Inspiration: Battling Fear
| August 30, 2012 | Posted by Jessie under Inspiration |
Mike and I are part of a small group through our church and we have started back up in the last couple of weeks after taking the summer off. Mike and I chose a book called Fearless by Max Lucado to study for the next 6 weeks together. I know this is a DIY blog, but every now and then I like to share inspirational quotes, pictures, words that have somehow inspired me and will hopefully inspire you. Whether you feel like you are constantly battling fear or not, it’s something we all realized we fight at one point or another in our discussion last night. It may be fear of failing at work, or disappointing your friends/family/spouse. Maybe you fear death or losing those close to you. It may be fear of being home alone {shameful hand in the air} or your children getting hurt or sick. It could be more about your self-worth: fear of not being good enough with your projects/blog/parenting/work. Regardless of what it is, at some point, we all struggle with fear and this book is a great reminder that no matter what you fear, God remains calm and here with us and He wants us to have that peace as well. All the time. So take comfort in His strength and be confident in your abilities as His child and strive for peace, rather than fear.
This quote stuck out to me in the book and I’m hopeful it will probably reach a few of you also. It’s always a nice reminder that we are cared for and loved.
