Stamped Ipad Case

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. The weather here was absolutely gorgeous and we took full advantage. We attended a few parties, laid by the pool and hit up some garage sales. I’ll share some pics and stories later in the week but today I have a quick craft tutorial that I tackled in about 5 minutes.
I bought some metal letters from Michael’s last week that are able to be stamped into clay, leather, etc. I have plans to use them for another craft soon but I thought in the meantime, I would personalize my new ipad. We got our ipads through school and the case that came with them is pretty generic. I would love to buy a cuter one at some point but I wanted to personalize the case I have now until then. It’s pretty boring…I’m sure you’d agree.
These are the letters that I used:
When you remove them from the package, they look like this.
To start the process, lay out your letters to decide where to space everything.
Then remove the letters and dampen the leather with a wet towel or sponge.
Then attach the handle to the letter and give it a couple hardish strikes to make your imprint.
Word to the wise, double check your letters before you stamp so you don’t put a letter on backwards like I did make a mistake…oops:)
We’ll just pretend I did that on purpose to make it cute because I teach 1st grade…mmmk? To jazz it up even more, you could paint in the letters, add some adhesive and sparkle, or print all kinds of fun words on the case. I’m still trying to decide what I’m going to do to mine, but for now at least it won’t get mixed up with the others!

Aw so sweet! Thank you, Michelle!
Oh, what a great idea for those “generic” leather cases!!
That is really nice! When I saw your name on the case I thought the school somehow did that for you? Very good idea!!
