Mother’s Day Recap {Gift Ideas}

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you were all able to enjoy this beautiful weekend celebrating all the mothers in your life. We got together with my extended family Saturday night and then went to my sister-in-laws yesterday to celebrate all of our mothers again. This year, Mike and I decided to go for some personalized gifts for our moms, rather than the typical flowers or plants and I think they were both a success. For my mom, she has been talking about wanting a new case for her iphone for awhile now and after seeing mine, I think she really liked the monogrammed look. I ordered mine off of Etsy a few months ago from Monogram Junkie and absolutely love it! Actually, my exact case is in the bottom corner-she used it for this pic!
When I was searching for a case for mom, I wanted something a little softer and ended up finding the perfect case from Sweet Cartolina {also on Etsy}. You could use the person’s name or their initials and I ended up with the case shown below with mom’s monogram.
She loved it. Something a little different from the norm.
For Mike’s mom, we ordered a canvas from Canvas People using a coupon for Mother’s Day at a great price {just google around and you can find coupons}. I created a graphic on PicMonkey on my computer using a quote we found and liked. Mike picked the look and I took it from there. Feel free to save a reuse the pic below.
They are currently in transition from the house they have lived in for 30 years to moving into the cabin full time so we thought this was the perfect quote to hang in their new residence. Actually, here is a pic of all of us on the last day at their old house.
