Dream Home

Beth recently shared a link over to a post at Cote De Texas where a reader’s home was showcased and I fell.in.love.  In serious love.  I even dreamt about the house that night.  That’s how bad it was.  Since it was clearly on my mind, I had to share it with all of you.  Let me give you a tour of my favorite spaces, starting with the front.

I love the soft colors, gorgrous shutters, and wood framed entry.

The house is filled with bright whites, soft blues, and a few leather and dark wood to cozy it up.  The barn door style nooks surrounding the tv add such charm and the beams make the room so warm and inviting.

That oversized leather ottoman is stunning.

I’m loving those soft greenish-blue subway tiles and the basket weave floors.

Next is the kitchen.  These oversized industrial lights are such a centerpiece for the kitchen.  The open shelving on the island keeps the large scale from being overbearing.

This kitchen table set-up caught my eye with our table construction underway.  We are selling our current table, moving our dining room table into the kitchen, and building the round wood table {bought our wood this weekend!}.  Got all that?  Mike is building some bench seats for the dining table {that will be in the kitchen} and this set-up is great inspiration.

This back hall is by far my favorite thing about the home.  I don’t really know why I love it so much, but those breezy window treatments and sunlight flooded hall that leads to the master and living room are just calling my name.  Must have one of these in my next home.

And those french doors….oh so pretty.

This is the sitting area in the master bedroom.  I love how the white slipcovered furniture and matching window treatments are carried throughout the house.

This master bedroom is absolutely stunning.  The built-in nook surrounding the bed and those leather chairs are just gorgeous.  Love every bit.

The nursery is elegant, soft, and just plain pretty.

This basement bathroom {yes, I said basement-you can only imagine the master} is clean, crisp, and very soothing.  The white tile, tub nook, and double shower heads must be a complete spa experience.  To see the rest of this gorgeous house, head over to Cote De Texas.

Ok, what is your favorite part?  The back hall and master bedroom are a tie for me, but I I love it all.

  1. This house is gorgeous…I just keep wondering what the square footage must be. Everything seems huge! From the furnature pieces to that awesome back hallway. They do say everything is bigger in Texas though right? :)

I love this house too! Just my style; a beautiful ranch with tons of windows! I have never seen that master bed nook before; very clever idea! I’m sure you will come up with tons of ideas from this one!

  3. I agree, that back hall area is perfect, just the extra space a house needs.
