Financial Freedom Friday-July Wrap-Up

July is over.  Which means summer is almost over.  Which means school starts soon.  Too soon.  Ack. Crazy.  However, I have two weeks left of no work and I will be enjoying every last second:)

The good news is July was a great month in our household.  We accomplished a lot {mainly the kitchen} and had a wonderful vacation, which I will share about soon. For now, let’s review everything we did and give the ole budget breakdown.

The Kitchen

You can read the three tutorials on how to make concrete countertops here, here, and here.

I also shared how I painted our cabinets {the shortcut way}.

And how we tiled our subway backsplash:

And to round out the kitchen tutorials, I finished up by sharing resources and how-to’s for accessories. You can read the budget breakdown for the kitchen here.

The next room we are tackling, is our master bedroom.  So far we added some romantic wall art:

hung some stained wooden letters,

changed our curtains from rod pocket to tabs,

And just recently made this display of our love letters

And painted the room the perfect gray.

So far I’ve spent $27 on paint for the bedroom and $25 on wall art.

Ah.  Good month.  Now it’s time to finish this bedroom and get ready for school to start. Crazy town.
