Loft: Complete!

The loft is finally complete {for now}.  And beautiful.  And bold.  And fun.

The bench seats were the final step to bring it all together.  I got the pillow and seat fabric at Joann’s {both 1/2 off}.  The green Waverly fabric was a splurge but a very sweet student in my class gave me a Joann gift card for an end of the year gift which is why I could afford it.  I found the navy and green leaf fabric there as well for $5/yard.

My new treasure chest/trunk that I found at a garage sale over the weekend completes the room but I have one last finishing statement to add to that before I share the results with you {hopefully tomorrow}.  It’s a fun before and after!

I am ready to move on to our next challenge.  It’s huge.  And it’s in the kitchen.  And it won’t be ready for a few more weeks so I’m keeping you in suspense until then.  Sorry!  I promise it will be worth the wait.  In the meantime, you can be thankful you don’t have to hear about the loft any more enjoy the results of the loft with me:)

Love that bold stripe paint job! And also the window seats and pillows really complete the overall look! You inspire me to be more brave and use some of those bold beautiful colors!!

  2. I love navy and lime green together. It’s fresh and fun. Also loving the stripes :)

I just made a purse with that green fabric. Don’t you just love it!? It looks great in your room.

    AWESOME LOOK!!!!! :-)

  4. Hi I love this room. I have a suggestion: you should spray paint your fan blades white. That would look much more modern. We have white fan blades in all our rooms and it brightens the room but without standing out like the old dark blades do, which is a good thing in my opinion. If you do this, write a blog about it. Love your blog!

    • Definitely:) There are still some upgrades to make up there (finish the middle section of the built-ins, paint the stair case, and update the fan) so it’s all coming! I promise I’ll keep you all posted on the changes!

  5. Wow, what a dramatic space. I love it. The pops of color are fabulous.

  6. I just found your blog (through TenJune’s retweet :) and I love it! This room is probably my favorite in your house – LOVE the black and white stripes and the green accents. I can’t wait to follow your blog!

    • Aw thanks, Laura! It’s one of my favorite rooms too-wish we spent more time in there! I’m so glad you popped over:)

  7. Hi! I came over from Today’s Creative Blog (congrats on the feature!). I gotta say, I am LOVING the bold stripes in this room. The styling and setup is amazing, but the stripes really make it!!
